Die Ex-Vertretung in Cologne

Nice location on the Rhine and in the city. You can sit comfortably outside when the weather is nice. The service was very nice and funny. The food was delicious too. The map wasn't overly big now, but it doesn't have to be, better less and better. I think everyone will find something for their taste here. If we're in Cologne again, I would definitely stop by here again.

Original tavern attached to a hotel whose evaluation according to conventional criteria is forbidden. You have to see it to believe it. In order to experience similarly morbid charm in such an establishment, one would otherwise have to travel very far. A great combination of a well-loved hostel in a top location and a decent Kölsch pub. Cologne is something special.

Typical brewery in Cologne. I find the historical reference to German politics nice (pictures of Willi Brand with guitar, Kennedy, Kissinger and Co. on the walls). The outside seating on the banks of the Rhine is also a reason to stop here in summer.

Can't beat the view.

Great location on the banks of the Rhine. We put two tables together without anyone complaining. Small Kölsch 3.15 euros.

Unfriendly service. Bad food. Much too touristy. You don't go here as a Cologne resident. I recommend the Löwenbräu a few meters away.

Unfortunately, it always took forever for a waitress to come so that you could order something. The menu was also kept very small for my taste. Perhaps due to Corona there are only a handful of dishes on the menu, but since you can now sit relatively normally anywhere, I would have expected a slightly larger selection of dishes.

Staff OK, but very cool and tense. Alcohol-free beer was a disaster, as was salad (seemed like yesterday). Therefor totally brilliant fries! Thumbs up. Location very central and on the Rhine is very good

Good location, tasty drinks. Service not quite so polite, our table was interrupted several times while ordering and then we were told that he could not work like this even though only Kölsch was ordered, so it is actually not that difficult to take 4 or 5 Kölsch as an order. Still a very good place on the Rhine.

Very friendly service. The food is a pleasure at reasonable prices. The very tasty potato soup is highly recommended. The menu offers a very good selection. Also meals for the hunger in between.

We were in the beer garden today, no sign of corona protection measures. Neither tables nor chairs are cleaned here. You don't really feel comfortable here. The waitresses are not exactly friendly.

Very friendly staff, the atmosphere outside fits very well and the food was delicious, prices completely in line and large portions ? clear recommendation. Thanks again for watching ?

Super unfriendly staff towards children .. Children are louder ... they were hit by the staff ... bottom drawer and if you comment on it .. you get stupid too .. We'll go straight afterwards ..

Full 5 stars. We have been coming here for years, and always friendly staff and very clean. The prices could be a little cheaper but as already said, everything was great, and we will always come back to our city with K.

Meatball Super .... Burnt schnitzel ... Burnt side down ... Fried potatoes only went onions and. Bacon cpl. burned. Lt. He passes it on to waiters. No reaction ... Too bad

The flammkuchen was good, but a bit salty. The Spaetzle was just ok.

Great experience! Lovely atmosphere and great food for a reasonable price. Nevertheless drinks were extremely expensive for the size and they don’t have tab water, which was a little disappointing

This place was high on my "want to go" restaurants in Cologne. Went there on Sunday, checked the info on Google Map, said that it opened on 11am. So me and my wife went in at about 11:10am. At first no one approched us. Then when someone finally came, it was only to bring disappointing news that the kitchen doesn't start at 12am. Such a disappointment for me.....

I really liked this place because of the friendly staff who helped my partner practice his german, the food itself was ok i got schnitzel with mushroom.and a cream sauce and for me was very salty, my partner got curry wurst and loved it

Traditional dishes well made and served. No frills.

Average food, but terrible service. The English-speaking waiter was rude. I really suggest you visit any other of the nearby places.

Nice brewery in a very nice location on the Rhine River and in a quiet park! His Goffel Koesch beer is not all that good and the staff is a little indifferent. His food is good!

The last time I visited the Ex-Vertretung must have been years ago. I was back in Cologne so I wanted to give it a try again. The food is still great, good service and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Good, sweet, fruity currywurst. Might be a bit spicy if you aren't used to mild-medium curry. Great view of the Rhine and waterfront. Good service.

Food was great and a lot. But we waited over half an hour for service after the meal. Others got served or could pay but we were ignored.

Nice location friendly service is good

Pleasant environment, polite but a little pressing staff. I ordered spatzle and 0.2cl beer, paying 12 euros. Very good. A flaw: they do not accept payments by card or debit card (perhaps because we asked for a separate account).

Interesting place, great food & good beer !

I was in Cologne on my own for one night and decided to grab dinner here. The outside area has a great view over the river and there was a band playing right next to the tables so there was a great atmosphere. The staff were nice, and very patient while I practiced my German on them (even helped me get the right pronunciation of some words). Food was good value and yummy, and I got to try some of the famous Kölsch. Perfect for a solo traveller on a budget.

Typical food, average quality, sometimes friendly but also sometimes unfriendly staff - depends on the amount of tourists. Medium prices. Overall okay but not great.

I stopped in for beer and dinner. I sat myself outside on a great evening for people watching. The Haxe I had was fantastic, the beer was good, and the refills came quickly. Reasonably priced for what it was, I'd definitely come here again.

Great food (inside with a very special charm), centrally located on the Rhine promenade. Smart staff, great value for money, good rich food - in fact I would like to mention the turned on leaf salad especially praising! To our amazement, the food arrived very quickly despite crowded operation - apparently well prepared and organized.
